With a left leg Arnoldo Benet saved Defensores de Beccar from getting behind. In the 16th minute, Joel Franco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atletico Lugano Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Felipe Feliz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletico Lugano Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipe Feliz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnoldo Benet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Fabio Isadore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Defensores de Beccar players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Atletico Lugano Club were winning 0-1.

Defensores de Beccar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Efrain Weterio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Efrain Weterio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Damian Sayvion. Atletico Lugano Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Efrain Weterio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Fabio Isadore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Sayvion having to interfere. The Defensores de Beccar manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Atletico Lugano Club to win.
