In the 5th minute, Martin Banegas fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gregorio Ponc, passed just outside the right post. 6 minutes into the match, Rabagol's Maximino Azevedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gregorio Ponc narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Moises Gutxi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Primitivo Montae came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Tucumichos's Gilberto Medina. But to his dismay, Gilberto Medina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Martin Banegas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Gregorio Ponc made a huge save. 1-1 became the score in the 15th minute when Martin Banegas elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 19 minutes, Vladimiro Stephen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rabagol and the Tucumichos players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Tucumichos booed when Rabagol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimiro Stephen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Rabagol defense, Gilberto Medina kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Primitivo Montae. The Rabagol fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Primitivo Montae should have stopped the shot. Tucumichos's Moises Gutxi got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Martin Banegas was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 35th minute. Rabagol's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 37 minutes into the match, Tucumichos's goalkeeper Gregorio Ponc had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximino Azevedo. In the 42nd minute of the match, Martin Banegas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gregorio Ponc saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Gregorio Ponc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Banegas in the 53rd minute of the match. Maximino Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Ponc having to interfere. If Martin Banegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, Tucumichos's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimiro Stephen came free, but Gregorio Ponc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 64 played minutes Tucumichos got a freekick which was hit by Moises Gutxi. Martin Banegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maximino Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Ponc having to interfere. Martin Banegas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Gregorio Ponc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tucumichos's Gregorio Ponc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Banegas in the 76th minute of play. Maximino Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Ponc having to interfere. If Maximino Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 81 minutes into the match, Martin Banegas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gregorio Ponc. Tucumichos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martin Banegas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Martin Banegas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gregorio Ponc read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Gregorio Ponc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximino Azevedo in the 86th minute of play. Godofredo Silviano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th match minute, Tucumichos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Medina to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute Martin Banegas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Ponc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
