Los Renguitos's supporters rose to their feet, but Moises Berdaitz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gregorio Ponc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucas Perfecto charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucas Perfecto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Los Renguitos getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Lucas Perfecto hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the game, Los Renguitos's Moises Berdaitz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gregorio Ponc made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Flavio Osmundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute Moises Berdaitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Ponc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flavio Osmundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Gregorio Ponc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Gilberto Medina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gregorio Ponc stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Moises Berdaitz's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute Moises Berdaitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Ponc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Los Renguitos were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Gilberto Medina made the kick off in the second half. Armando Dodorol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Ponc having to interfere. After 65 minutes, Gilberto Medina mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tucumichos and the Los Renguitos players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Los Renguitos booed when Tucumichos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Medina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Moises Berdaitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Gregorio Ponc made a huge save. Moises Berdaitz struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Gregorio Ponc didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Renguitos. Flavio Osmundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Gregorio Ponc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the game, Flavio Osmundo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gregorio Ponc. Flavio Osmundo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Gilberto Medina kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Moises Berdaitz might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gregorio Ponc. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moises Berdaitz ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Los Renguitos's Armando Dodorol got a free kick in the 94th minute. Los Renguitos's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
