The Infix FC fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when Infix FC's Ernesto Evis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Infix FC's Ernesto Evis got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teofilo Raymundo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Evis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ernesto Evis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 27 minutes, Abel Llorian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Infix FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abel Llorian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ernesto Evis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Raymundo having to interfere. With his leg Efrain Osoitz managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Cienaguita's Prudencio Phelipe fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 36 minutes into the game, Infix FC's Abel Llorian nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teofilo Raymundo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After having played for 39 minutes, Ernesto Evis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Infix FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernesto Evis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ernesto Evis came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Infix FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Evis couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustacio Ferran in the 47th minute of play forced Cienaguita's goalkeeper Teofilo Raymundo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernesto Evis to make the kick off. Cienaguita's Teofilo Raymundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Evis in the 53rd minute of play. Eustacio Ferran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Raymundo having to interfere. With a little luck, Cienaguita's Teofilo Raymundo got control of the ball when Ernesto Evis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teofilo Raymundo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Evis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute, Eustacio Ferran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Victorino Ostadar kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Ernesto Evis in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Teofilo Raymundo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Abel Llorian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Teofilo Raymundo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ismael Jaunti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Raymundo having to interfere. Teofilo Raymundo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Evis in the 93rd minute of the match. If Abel Llorian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Victorino Ostadar came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Cienaguita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victorino Ostadar couldn't finish the play. Infix FC played a much better game than Cienaguita and deserved their victory. The Cienaguita players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
