With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ezequiel Cebo in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Saverio Avellaneda saved Casillas from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Giro in the 41st minute of play forced Piratas CAB's goalkeeper Cosme Silviano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Orlando Gilen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosme Silviano having to interfere. Orlando Gilen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Cosme Silviano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Piratas CAB players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Casillas were winning 0-1.
