But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baldomiro Inko couldn't finish the play. 14 minutes into the match, Ángulos's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Emesto came free, but Cayetano Balesio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Emesto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Baldomiro Inko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hipolito Donio kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The supporters of Santo FC booed when Ángulos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eleuterio Gagriel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 46 minutes of play, Ángulos's Dionisio Gonzo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elias Niva was left in no man's land by his defense there!

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emanuel Cugat to make the kick off. The Ángulos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cayetano Balesio should have stopped the shot. Melchor Timo charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Melchor Timo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Santo FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. A wasted opportunity for Ángulos.
