Lennart Holm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Mouricio in the 17th minute of the match. Edgardo Mouricio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lennart Holm came out and tried to block the shot, but Edgardo Mouricio slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 23rd minute. If Maximino Eufrasio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Club Atletico River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Maximino Urtsua came free, but Roque Miliano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodolfo Eliu struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Roque Miliano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zorzal Criollo. In the 39th minute Rodolfo Eliu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Miliano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximino Urtsua struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Roque Miliano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zorzal Criollo. In the 42ndth minute of the game Maximino Urtsua who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atletico River Plate's Roque Miliano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Silverio Bastian was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atletico River Plate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zorzal Criollo the free kick. Silverio Bastian hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Maximino Urtsua blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roque Miliano having to make a save. In the 47th minute, Rodolfo Eliu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roque Miliano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1.

After having played for 54 minutes, Maximino Eufrasio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximino Eufrasio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dante Polo charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dante Polo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Maximino Urtsua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Maximino Urtsua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximino Urtsua in the 69th minute of play forced Club Atletico River Plate's goalkeeper Roque Miliano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zorzal Criollo's Lennart Holm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Mouricio in the 71st minute of play. Rodolfo Eliu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Roque Miliano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zorzal Criollo's Domingos Peru suffered a sore thigh after 76 minutes and couldn't finish the game. During the 76th minute of the match Silverio Bastian completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Silverio Bastian a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Silverio Bastian kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Rodolfo Eliu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 83rdth minute, Roque Miliano skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Dante Polo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodolfo Eliu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Roque Miliano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rodolfo Eliu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximino Urtsua recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roque Miliano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dante Polo, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute.
