Gabriel Emesto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Victoriano Hats tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elias Niva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arnulfo Flor went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Baldomiro Inko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Victoriano Hats tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Santo FC fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Santo FC's Baldomiro Inko looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Emesto in the 28th minute of play forced Ibarreta's goalkeeper Victoriano Hats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santo FC's Gabriel Emesto got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gabriel Emesto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Hats having to interfere. In the 38th minute Baldomiro Inko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Hats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 39 played minutes Santo FC got a freekick which was hit by Melchor Timo. Guaberto Beat, 40 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Elias Niva was a little too slow when Christian Hats got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 2-2. Alberto Laurentzi's late challenge caught a Santo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto Laurentzi helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ibarreta getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Alberto Laurentzi hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ibarreta's zone, Gilberto Baumer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victoriano Hats came out of the goal and Gilberto Baumer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Elias Niva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Hats in the 53rd minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, Santo FC's Baldomiro Inko sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victoriano Hats narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 56 played minutes Santo FC got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Karmel. Santo FC's Elias Niva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnulfo Flor in the 59th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Santo FC's Baldomiro Inko ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Victoriano Hats. Victoriano Hats yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. In the 71st match minute, Ibarreta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Hats to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Ibarreta's zone, Gabriel Emesto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victoriano Hats came out of the goal and Gabriel Emesto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victoriano Hats showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Emesto, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. The supporters of Santo FC booed when Ibarreta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siro Oxarra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santo FC's Gilberto Baumer shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 79th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Victoriano Hats but with some difficulty. Gabriel Emesto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victoriano Hats showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Emesto, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 87th play minute Baldomiro Inko came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Victoriano Hats. 2-4. Arnulfo Flor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Elias Niva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Arnulfo Flor notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of Santo FC's Elias Niva. Elias Niva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match was over Santo FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ibarreta throughout the match.
