In the 9th minute Gabriel Emesto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Miliano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 11 played minutes Santo FC got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Emesto. 18 minutes into the match, Club Atletico River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Emesto came free, but Roque Miliano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriel Emesto in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roque Miliano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Santo FC's goalkeeper Elias Niva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gilberto Baumer struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Roque Miliano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santo FC. After 31 played minutes Club Atletico River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Felix Elodio. When Santo FC's Gabriel Emesto in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atletico River Plate's goalie prevented a goal. Maximino Eufrasio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Elias Niva made a huge save. Roque Miliano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomiro Inko in the 43rd minute of play. In the 47th minute of the match, Maximino Eufrasio got a very nice opportunity to score, but Elias Niva was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After the first half Santo FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgardo Mouricio was the one to do the kick off. Santo FC's Elias Niva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Eufrasio in the 51st minute of play. Delmiro Estevon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico River Plate's zone, Baldomiro Inko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roque Miliano came out of the goal and Baldomiro Inko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 68 minutes into the match, Baldomiro Inko dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Roque Miliano, 0-2. When Donato Napier fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atletico River Plate's protests and gave Donato Napier a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Club Atletico River Plate getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Donato Napier hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Baldomiro Inko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Baldomiro Inko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roque Miliano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 84 minutes into the match, Club Atletico River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Emesto came free, but Roque Miliano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
