Anastasio Lertxun started the match with the kick off. After 7 played minutes KUERVO got a freekick which was hit by Anacleto Maria. KUERVO's Aristides Gaskon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anastasio Lertxun in the 8th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Jorge Menendo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Arocena's Luciano Gonsalvo tried to score from far away in the 18th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marciano Bladi in the 25th minute of play forced KUERVO's goalkeeper Aristides Gaskon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aristides Gaskon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marciano Bladi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnaldo Huly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godfredo Theodore having to interfere. Arnaldo Hulys short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Godfredo Theodore to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 42nd minute Anastasio Lertxun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aristides Gaskon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd match minute, KUERVO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Jago to maneuver through the defense.

Marciano Bladi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Aristides Gaskon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, KUERVO's Aristides Gaskon got control of the ball when Marciano Bladi tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Daniel Quinto managed to get in a good position for a shot. KUERVO's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Quinto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Godfredo Theodore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Daniel Quinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Celso Peru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Quinto in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Godfredo Theodore prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Arocena's zone, Daniel Quinto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Godfredo Theodore came out of the goal and Daniel Quinto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 68th minute, Arnaldo Huly ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Godfredo Theodore was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Anastasio Lertxun took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Aristides Gaskon to make any attempt to save it. Ricardo Errando charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ricardo Errando the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of KUERVO booed when Arocena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Errando didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Arnaldo Huly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arocena's Marciano Bladi got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. KUERVO's Arnaldo Huly got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 90 played minutes, KUERVO's Albano Odilon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Godfredo Theodore came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in KUERVO reached it. Arnaldo Huly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Arocena supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Arocena would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
