The crowd rose to their feet as Carolo Beila kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Angelino Oskarbi. That made the score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. Nestor Claus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angelino Oskarbi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carolo Beila in the 19th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the game, Ildefonso Cordeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. River Plate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tivago FC the free kick. Amador Eleazar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebio Montrell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 played minutes Tivago FC got a freekick which was hit by Siro Montrelle. Angelino Oskarbi made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Nestor Claus sent off a good shot on target. Carolo Beila might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Angelino Oskarbi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carolo Beila ran back to his position shaking his head. If Nestor Claus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pascual Elivareo kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After 34 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Pascual Elivareo. Angelino Oskarbi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carolo Beila in the 37th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Nestor Claus managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Nestor Claus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelino Oskarbi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. River Plate's Carolo Beila got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd match minute, Tivago FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siro Montrelle to maneuver through the defense. Nestor Claus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelino Oskarbi having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eusebio Montrell was the one to do the kick off. After 56 minutes, Carolo Beila made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Tivago FC's Angelino Oskarbi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Pascual Elivareo hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Nestor Claus blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Angelino Oskarbi having to make a save. A collision led to Tivago FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Esteve Abastas hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the game, River Plate's Nestor Claus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angelino Oskarbi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. If Nestor Claus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of River Plate booed when Tivago FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteve Abastas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 74 minutes into the game, River Plate's Nestor Claus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angelino Oskarbi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Amador Eleazar made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Ciro Mark sent off a good shot on target. Tivago FC's Angelino Oskarbi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carolo Beila in the 79th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Nestor Claus put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Angelino Oskarbi. Nestor Claus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. River Plate had played much better football throughout.
