After some careless play in the Hermenegildo F.C. defense, Abel Gil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Segundo Tello. The Hermenegildo F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Segundo Tello should have stopped the shot. 27 minutes into the game, Pastor Paul threw the ball into play from the sideline. Defensa F.C's Eusebio Kemen quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Cornelio Aballe made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Amancio Monte sent off a good shot on target. Anier Urtun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornelio Aballe having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 32nd minute of the game. One of Hermenegildo F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Defensa F.C:s goal. Silvestre Baumer shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Marcos Turi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Amancio Monte fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hermenegildo F.C.'s protests and gave Amancio Monte a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th match minute, Hermenegildo F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amancio Monte to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Segundo Tello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Turi, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Cornelio Aballe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amancio Monte in the 60th minute of the match. If Daniel Cristofol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Turi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Segundo Tello read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Hermenegildo F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Marcos Turi scored to the left of an out of position Segundo Tello, making the score, 0-3. Abel Gil might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Segundo Tello. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abel Gil ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcos Turi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, Defensa F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Amancio Monte came free, but Cornelio Aballe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Prospero Urtsin hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Defensa F.C played a much better game than Hermenegildo F.C. and deserved their victory. The Hermenegildo F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
