After a rather tough play, Defensa F.C's Eusebio Kemen got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 14th match minute, Chusca FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Rufio to maneuver through the defense. Chusca FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abel Gil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Daniel Cristofol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Gil in the 86th minute of play forced Chusca FC's goalkeeper Dionisio Lando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Defensa F.C were the better team. Defensa F.C's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
