Emanuel Loren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Castulo, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Lucas Jago was shown his second yellow card after 29 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of San Martín FC booed when Verdolaga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. San Martín FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Verdolaga the free kick. Rolando Txilar kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. When Nicolas Chano came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Verdolaga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicolas Chano couldn't finish the play. Verdolaga were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after San Martín FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Teodoro Rico took the corner. Verdolaga's Teodoro Rico was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Emanuel Loren in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 46th minute, Nicolas Chano made a precise shot to the right of Emanuel Loren. San Martín FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Castulo couldn't finish the play. Emanuel Loren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Rico, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute Nicolas Chano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Loren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Loren was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nicolas Chano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 90 minute of play.
