In the 17th match minute, Astra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jairo Arce to maneuver through the defense. When Bernardino Llorienzo fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Astra FC's protests and gave Bernardino Llorienzo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute Joaquin Escobar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Urti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jairo Arce was shown his second yellow card after 33 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Elvio Mancio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Benedicto Urti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Teofilo Larpe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonatan Bordat. Astra FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teofilo Larpe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elvio Mancio made a kick off. Elvio Mancio struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Thanks to some nice moves Elvio Mancio could shoot a difficult shot in the 62nd minute, which Benedicto Urti however easily saved by the left post. Elvio Mancio scored 1-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benedicto Urti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gonzalo Mergildo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonatan Bordat having to make a save. Lucas Joanes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonatan Bordat having to interfere. After 72 minutes of play, Quilmes Atlético Club's Gonzalo Mergildo made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonatan Bordat was left in no man's land by his defense there! Quilmes Atlético Club's Lucas Joanes got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Lucas Joanes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gonzalo Mergildo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonatan Bordat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Joanes in the 92nd minute of play. Elvio Mancio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Astra FC booed when Quilmes Atlético Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Chico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Quilmes Atlético Club were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Astra FC for a fine match.
