When Astra FC's Joaquin Escobar in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C.A. In the 10th minute Pascual Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonatan Bordat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A. Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Marcelo Maria, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Natalio Senin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 23 played minutes Astra FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardino Llorienzo. Marcelo Maria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquin Escobar in the 30th minute of play. If Natalio Senin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Natalio Senin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Jonatan Bordat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 42 minutes, Pascual Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A. Boca Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pascual Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Pascual Torres made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Natalio Senin managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. Boca Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Natalio Senin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonatan Bordat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Elvio Mancio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Natalio Senin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonatan Bordat having to interfere. Pascual Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of C.A. Boca Juniors booed when Astra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Jerico didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. Boca Juniors's zone, Joaquin Escobar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Maria came out of the goal and Joaquin Escobar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Natalio Senin struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Jonatan Bordat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A. Boca Juniors. If Natalio Senin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Astra FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Maximino Perico hit a great ball. In the 78th minute, Natalio Senin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 85th match minute, Astra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Bartuelo to maneuver through the defense. After 88 minutes Astra FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Baltasar Gorri who took care of the corner kick. C.A. Boca Juniors's Baltasar Gorri was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonatan Bordat in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Astra FC's zone, Pascual Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonatan Bordat came out of the goal and Pascual Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascual Torres in the 92nd minute of play forced Astra FC's goalkeeper Jonatan Bordat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pascual Torres took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonatan Bordat. Jonatan Bordat dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. C.A. Boca Juniors fully deserved thier win.
