After a rather tough play, Deportivo Oeste's Isidoro Bide got a free kick in the 20th minute. After having played for 43 minutes, Gonzalo Mergildo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quilmes Atlético Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonzalo Mergildo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Joanes in the 44th minute of play forced Deportivo Oeste's goalkeeper Edgardo Ikatz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isidoro Bide hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cecilio Pes made a kick off. Gonzalo Mergildo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Edgardo Ikatz made a huge save. Leonardo Bonadona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 59 minutes into the match, Leonardo Bonadona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benedicto Urti. Quilmes Atlético Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonardo Bonadona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 63 minutes into the game, Lucas Joanes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quilmes Atlético Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Oeste the free kick. After 63 played minutes Quilmes Atlético Club got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Joanes. Benedicto Urti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Bonadona in the 66th minute of play. Cecilio Pes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benedicto Urti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Leonardo Bonadona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Benedicto Urti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonardo Bonadona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedicto Urti having to interfere. Deportivo Oeste's Edgardo Ikatz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Oeste from getting a goal against them. In the 83rd match minute, Quilmes Atlético Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teofilo Larpe to maneuver through the defense. Cecilio Pes struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Benedicto Urti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Oeste. Deportivo Oeste's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
