Deportivo Oeste's Edgardo Ikatz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Oeste from getting a goal against them. In the 28th minute Cecilio Pes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Loren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cecilio Pes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The nice shot from Amador Oxel in the 34thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Edgardo Ikatz had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. 39 minutes into the match, Deportivo Oeste's goal looked a bit too open when Fernan Oidor came free, but Edgardo Ikatz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The San Martín FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuel Loren should have stopped the shot. Fernan Oidor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Ikatz having to interfere. Cecilio Pes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the match, San Martín FC's Amador Oxel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgardo Ikatz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Isidoro Bide hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Edgardo Ikatz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amador Oxel in the 88th minute of the match. If Cecilio Pes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The San Martín FC fans' excitement grew in the 95th match minute when San Martín FC's Amador Oxel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The Deportivo Oeste players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented San Martín FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
