Spectators: 6961 (Terracing: 5300, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Filiberto Berbiz made the kick off which started today's match. Cirilo Fernandes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filiberto Berbiz in the 4th minute of the match. Filiberto Berbiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cirilo Fernandes made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Damaso Isias sent off a good shot on target. When Aurelio Quinito came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Astica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelio Quinito couldn't finish the play. Dalmacio Mantzio might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maximo Gartxot. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dalmacio Mantzio ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Chimbas AFC's zone, Dalmacio Mantzio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximo Gartxot came out of the goal and Dalmacio Mantzio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Chimbas AFC's goalkeeper Maximo Gartxot, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Damaso Isias's late challenge caught a Astica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damaso Isias helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Chimbas AFC's Damaso Isias got a free kick in the 25th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Aurelio Quinito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Astica's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurelio Quinito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximo Gartxot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maximo Gartxot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Quinito in the 29th minute of the match. Maximo Gartxot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Quinito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Astica booed when Chimbas AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Anaya didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damaso Isias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Cirilo Fernandes made a huge save. In the 41st play minute Damaso Isias came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cirilo Fernandes. 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

52 minutes into the match, Astica's Dalmacio Mantzio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maximo Gartxot narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Damaso Isias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cirilo Fernandes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Maximo Gartxot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dalmacio Mantzio in the 59th minute. Filiberto Berbiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damaso Isias in the 64th minute of play forced Astica's goalkeeper Cirilo Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Dalmacio Mantzio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th minute, Dalmacio Mantzio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maximo Gartxot was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After having played for 72 minutes, Aurelio Quinito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Astica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelio Quinito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Igor Anaya kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Astica's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mario Evarado in the 76th minute. It was a well-played corner which Alfredo Fidensio managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Dalmacio Mantzio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chimbas AFC's Maximo Gartxot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Quinito in the 80th minute of play. After having played for 82 minutes, Aurelio Quinito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Astica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelio Quinito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aurelio Quinito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Maximo Gartxot made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Dalmacio Mantzio sent off a good shot on target. Damaso Isias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cirilo Fernandes having to interfere. Chimbas AFC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Astica had controlled the match.
