An unexpectedly hard shot by Filiberto Berbiz in the 26th minute of play forced MONDNGO's goalkeeper Isidoro Luzaide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damaso Isias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Isidoro Luzaide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Filiberto Berbiz came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Chimbas AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filiberto Berbiz couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute, Julian Shepherd got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Filiberto Berbiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Isidoro Luzaide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Filiberto Berbiz sped through MONDNGO's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Isidoro Luzaide. After some careless play in the Chimbas AFC defense, Julian Shepherd kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximo Gartxot. The Chimbas AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximo Gartxot should have stopped the shot. If Amado Emesto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, Julian Shepherd left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MONDNGO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 81 minutes into the game, Mario Bibiano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MONDNGO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chimbas AFC the free kick. The supporters of Chimbas AFC booed when MONDNGO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Bibiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in MONDNGO's zone, Filiberto Berbiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isidoro Luzaide came out of the goal and Filiberto Berbiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filiberto Berbiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Isidoro Luzaide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carolo Lonzo's late challenge caught a Chimbas AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carolo Lonzo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th match minute, MONDNGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carolo Lonzo to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the Chimbas AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for MONDNGO.
