After a defensive mix-up in Moreno's zone, Robustiano Llorienzo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leandro Gaur came out of the goal and Robustiano Llorienzo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Moises Quinto hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Ballester FC's Carlos Cordario got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Cordario hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Cordario to make the kick off. In the 61st minute Santiago Raitin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorio Columbo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ballester FC's Enrique Bastian got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 73 minutes into the match, Santiago Raitin notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Ballester FC's Honorio Columbo. Honorio Columbo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 85th minute, Silverio Mundo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 89 played minutes Ballester FC got a freekick which was hit by Luisito Iago. Enrique Bastian blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leandro Gaur having to make a save.
