Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rolando Peruxu started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Stegmann's goal looked a bit too open when Modesto Osmundo came free, but Eustacio Bernat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rolando Peruxu got free with Eustacio Bernat in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Stegmann defense, Modesto Osmundo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eustacio Bernat. The Stegmann fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eustacio Bernat should have stopped the shot. Abelardo Raulo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeledon Aurre in the 19th minute of the match. Eustacio Bernat made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Rolando Peruxu sent off a good shot on target. In the 24th minute, Modesto Osmundo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Rolando Peruxu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Eustacio Bernat made a huge save. 28 minutes into the game, Lisandro Inocente cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Abelardo Raulo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lino Marcones hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Eustacio Bernat was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Modesto Osmundo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Modesto Osmundo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Modesto Osmundo in the 38th minute of play forced Stegmann's goalkeeper Eustacio Bernat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Peruxu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eustacio Bernat came out and tried to block the shot, but Rolando Peruxu slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 41st minute. After 45 played minutes Stegmann got a freekick which was hit by Julian Benitez. When Jose Normando came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Fútbol Club 49 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jose Normando couldn't finish the play. With 48 minutes on the clock, Pedro Paez commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 47 minutes into the game, one of Stegmann:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 51st minute there was a penalty for Fútbol Club 49. Jose Normando stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eustacio Bernat. 4-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zeledon Aurre was the one to do the kick off. Eustacio Bernat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Modesto Osmundo in the 61st minute of play. In the 65thth minute of the game Modesto Osmundo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stegmann's Eustacio Bernat was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Modesto Osmundo notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Stegmann's Eustacio Bernat. Eustacio Bernat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 72nd minute, Jose Normando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eustacio Bernat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolando Peruxu, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After 76 played minutes Stegmann got a freekick which was hit by Siro Serafo. After a defensive mix-up in Stegmann's zone, Modesto Osmundo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eustacio Bernat came out of the goal and Modesto Osmundo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abelardo Raulo was a little too slow when Lisandro Inocente got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 6-2. Eustacio Bernat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Normando in the 89th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Siro Serafo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Siro Serafo during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Siro Serafo hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Rolando Peruxu scored 7-2 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eustacio Bernat, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eustacio Bernat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Cordareo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eustacio Bernat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Normando in the 99th minute of play. Modesto Osmundo scored 8-2 in the 102nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eustacio Bernat, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the Fútbol Club 49 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
