An unexpectedly hard shot by Lisandro Arias in the 5th minute of play forced AC Martinez's goalkeeper Eustaquio Larpe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th match minute, Ballester FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Bastian to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th minute Antonio Salvadore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorio Columbo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute, Hermengildo Claus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eustaquio Larpe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lisandro Arias's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enrique Bastian during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th minute, Enrique Bastian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the game, Alvaro Iliana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballester FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC Martinez the free kick. In the 21st minute, one of Ballester FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ballester FC. Evaristo Clemencin walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Freddy Valiente got free with Honorio Columbo in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Freddy Valiente could shoot a difficult shot in the 31st minute, which Honorio Columbo however easily saved by the left post. In the 32nd minute, Enrique Bastian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Antonio Salvadore managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC Martinez's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonio Salvadore was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Honorio Columbo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in AC Martinez's zone, Carlos Cordario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eustaquio Larpe came out of the goal and Carlos Cordario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Lisandro Arias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Lisandro Arias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Ballester FC's Honorio Columbo got control of the ball when Freddy Valiente tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antonio Salvadore to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Ballester FC's goal looked a bit too open when Freddy Valiente came free, but Honorio Columbo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Lisandro Arias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Freddy Valiente managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC Martinez's supporters rose to their feet, but Freddy Valiente was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Honorio Columbo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lisandro Arias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustaquio Larpe having to interfere. The supporters of AC Martinez booed when Ballester FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrique Bastian didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Ballester FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Mateo Iago hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lisandro Arias in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eustaquio Larpe saved AC Martinez from getting behind. After 86 played minutes Ballester FC got a freekick which was hit by Luisito Iago. Eustaquio Larpe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Arias in the 92nd minute of play. 97 minutes into the game, Lisandro Arias cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Eustaquio Larpe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Ballester FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
