Marcelo Asteri charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Jose Normando took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Remigio Sandalio. Real Bañiles's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Modesto Osmundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 17 played minutes, Fútbol Club 49's Jose Normando shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Remigio Sandalio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fútbol Club 49 reached it. Remigio Sandalio came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Fútbol Club 49's Rolando Peruxu. But to his dismay, Rolando Peruxu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of Real Bañiles booed when Fútbol Club 49 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aureliano Selmo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remigio Sandalio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Normando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Aureliano Selmo fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fútbol Club 49's protests and gave Aureliano Selmo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th match minute, Fútbol Club 49 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aureliano Selmo to maneuver through the defense. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rolando Peruxu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 74th minute Modesto Osmundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remigio Sandalio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Modesto Osmundo got free with Remigio Sandalio in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Real Bañiles's Severo Batista got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, Modesto Osmundo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Remigio Sandalio, 0-4. Modesto Osmundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigio Sandalio having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Fútbol Club 49's Modesto Osmundo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Remigio Sandalio. That made the score 1-5 after 96 minutes of play. Fútbol Club 49's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
