Spectators: 7406 (Terracing: 5555, Seating: 1703, VIP seats: 148) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Paulo Ezkerra took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute Augusto Pietro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Etxatxu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Ezkerra got free with Humberto Etxatxu in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 10 minutes into the match, Augusto Pietro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Humberto Etxatxu. Club Atletico Peñarol's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Augusto Pietro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 15 played minutes Calabacercio FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Ezkerra. Jonatan Tolino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Victor Carlomagno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Igor Benet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atletico Peñarol's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Calabacercio FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Peñarol's Igor Benet got a free kick in the 28th minute. After 31 minutes of play, Club Atletico Peñarol's Jonatan Tolino made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Victor Carlomagno was left in no man's land by his defense there! 36 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Peñarol's Leandro Brun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victor Carlomagno narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Leandro Brun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Carlomagno having to interfere. Paulo Ezkerras short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Humberto Etxatxu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leandro Brun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Paulo Ezkerra put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Humberto Etxatxu. Victor Carlomagno made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Jonatan Tolino sent off a good shot on target. Paulo Ezkerra struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Humberto Etxatxu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calabacercio FC. If Leandro Brun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Ezkerra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Humberto Etxatxu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. If Platon Odyntsov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 86 played minutes Calabacercio FC got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Oliverio. After a defensive mix-up in Calabacercio FC's zone, Leandro Brun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Carlomagno came out of the goal and Leandro Brun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Humberto Etxatxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Ezkerra in the 97th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Calabacercio FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
