Jose Cordarrel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saverio Erauso, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The supporters of Tigre booed when Club S y D Villa Podesta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Eusko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tigre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delmar Lucila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Saverio Erauso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Cordarrel having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Zeledon Dubardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tigre's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
