In the 19th match minute, MIllonarios FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilfredo Salvadore to maneuver through the defense. MIllonarios FC's Bernardino Chano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquiles Peru in the 21st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Efrain Ioritz during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Elpidio Tolino hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Angelo Ramirez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardino Chano having to interfere. A collision led to Punta lara getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Aquiles Canto hit a great ball. Punta lara's Angelo Ramirez got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Angelo Ramirez scored 1-0 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernardino Chano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Enrique Urti made the kick off in the second half. Enrique Urti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angelo Ramirez struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Bernardino Chano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Punta lara. Angelo Ramirez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernardino Chano having to make a save. If Angelo Ramirez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Elpidio Tolino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernardino Chano having to make a save. Angelo Ramirez might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernardino Chano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Angelo Ramirez ran back to his position shaking his head. Gaspar Aimar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardino Chano having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelo Ramirez in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernardino Chano saved MIllonarios FC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Angelo Ramirez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernardino Chano was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. 85 minutes into the match, MIllonarios FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspar Aimar came free, but Bernardino Chano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enrique Urti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Palau having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Elpidio Tolino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Punta lara's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
