Nicanor Cordera took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Flavio Pelayo. Sportivo Municipal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 21 played minutes Sportivo Municipal got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Piearres. Angelo Ramirez struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Flavio Pelayo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Punta lara. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquiles Peru in the 28th minute of play forced Sportivo Municipal's goalkeeper Flavio Pelayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Aquiles Peru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flavio Pelayo was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game.
