Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Enrique Urti to make the kick off. In the 65th minute Enrique Urti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Pelayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emiliano Ikatz might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernardino Chano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardino Chano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Martxot in the 92nd minute of the match. Sportivo Municipal's Joel Martxot got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sportivo Municipal fans cheered their team off the field, for while MIllonarios FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
