But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucio Elodio couldn't finish the play. Elpidio Quinito hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the game, Elpidio Quinito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RojodeCopas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Verna AFC the free kick. Elpidio Quinito kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Iker Tohias didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucio Elodio went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Honorato Santo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iker Tohias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, RojodeCopas's goal looked a bit too open when Honorato Santo came free, but Iker Tohias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emilio Abad kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Felipe Pacorro had to leave the field with a concussion. After a rather tough play, Verna AFC's Honorato Santo got a free kick in the 41st minute. After 44 minutes of play RojodeCopas's Elpidio Quinito was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 46 minutes into the match, Verna AFC's Rodrigo Cidro broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Honorato Santo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Iker Tohias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Honorato Santo to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, RojodeCopas's goalkeeper Iker Tohias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Honorato Santo. Ciro Dolfos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iker Tohias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Honorato Santo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 64thth minute, Iker Tohias skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 67th play minute Honorato Santo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Iker Tohias. 0-3. Honorato Santo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Iker Tohias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Honorato Santo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Iker Tohias when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 75thth minute of the game Honorato Santo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RojodeCopas's Iker Tohias was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 76 minutes, German Sansone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Verna AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but German Sansone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Honorato Santo might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iker Tohias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Honorato Santo ran back to his position shaking his head. German Sansone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Honorato Santo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emilio Abad charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emilio Abad the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th match minute, RojodeCopas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Abad to maneuver through the defense. Rodrigo Cidro was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 89th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Honorato Santo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Tohias having to interfere. The supporters of Verna AFC booed when RojodeCopas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Abad didn't get a good kick on the ball. 97 minutes had been played when some careless play by RojodeCopas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rodrigo Cidro was slow to take the kick. During this time Verna AFC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Verna AFC's corner Rodrigo Cidro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Iker Tohias quite easily take care of the ball. In the 98th minute, Honorato Santo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Verna AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than RojodeCopas.
