In the 17th minute Honorato Santo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Eguen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Sportivo Lalala's Denis Manex slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jaime Tello. That made the score 1-0 after 46 minutes of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After some careless play in the Sportivo Lalala defense, Honorato Santo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damian Eguen. The Sportivo Lalala fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damian Eguen should have stopped the shot. In the 62nd minute, Honorato Santo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Damian Eguen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2.
