Bonk FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Verna AFC the free kick. In the 4th match minute, Bonk FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Tomi to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute, Rogelio Otsando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gaston Theobald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Gaston Theobald put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jaime Tello. German Sansone charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed German Sansone the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After recieving a nice pass, Bonk FC's Florencio Maurino tried to score from far away in the 13th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Verna AFC's Jaime Tello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaston Theobald in the 18th minute of play. Cipriano Ayala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Dolfos in the 19th minute of play. Lucio Elodio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Ayala having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Verna AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Theobald came free, but Jaime Tello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Verna AFC's goalkeeper Jaime Tello, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 43rd minute by Florencio Maurino got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 63rd minute, Gaston Theobald hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marciano Lauro hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Lucio Elodio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Verna AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucio Elodio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cipriano Ayala breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jaime Tello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaston Theobald in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Elodio in the 74th minute of play forced Bonk FC's goalkeeper Cipriano Ayala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Verna AFC's zone, Gaston Theobald stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaime Tello came out of the goal and Gaston Theobald tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jaime Tello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaston Theobald in the 84th minute of play. Verna AFC's Jaime Tello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaston Theobald in the 86th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Romero during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 96 minutes into the match, Verna AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Theobald came free, but Jaime Tello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Bonk FC fully deserved thier win.
