Rodrigo Cidro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Elias Peter. Inferno FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Marcial Abarca charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcial Abarca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Verna AFC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Marcial Abarca hit a great ball. In the 31st minute, Victoriano Theodore sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Verna AFC's Jaime Tello didn't even have to move. Gualterio Romo took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jaime Tello. Jaime Tello dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. A collision led to Verna AFC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Lucio Elodio hit a great ball. 45 minutes into the match, Verna AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jesus Karmel came free, but Jaime Tello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Lucio Elodio made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Verna AFC's zone, Anibal Frans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaime Tello came out of the goal and Anibal Frans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Inferno FC's Anibal Frans got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute Lucio Elodio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Peter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Inferno FC's zone, Ciro Dolfos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elias Peter came out of the goal and Ciro Dolfos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Inferno FC booed when Verna AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Dolfos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elias Peter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from German Sansone in the 64th minute of play. Lucio Elodio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elias Peter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. When Ciro Dolfos came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Verna AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro Dolfos couldn't finish the play. Sixto Mancio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Elias Peter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
