Los Linyeras de Merlo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Salcedo FC the free kick. After 22 played minutes Los Linyeras de Merlo got a freekick which was hit by Ambrosio Atarrabi. In the 23rd minute of the match Astor Estavan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Clodoveo Eduino showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Gualterio Gaizko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Linyeras de Merlo's supporters rose to their feet, but Gualterio Gaizko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelino Basualdo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Salcedo FC's goalkeeper Marcelino Basualdo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Segundo Neron hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Honorio Oliveiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelino Basualdo having to interfere. When Epifanio Ostadar came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Los Linyeras de Merlo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Epifanio Ostadar couldn't finish the play. Los Linyeras de Merlo's Epifanio Ostadar got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gualterio Gaizko struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Marcelino Basualdo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Linyeras de Merlo. Gualterio Gaizko blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcelino Basualdo having to make a save. The Salcedo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelino Basualdo should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Los Linyeras de Merlo getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Cosme Marcones hit a great ball. Gualterio Gaizko might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelino Basualdo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gualterio Gaizko ran back to his position shaking his head. Los Linyeras de Merlo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
