After 7 played minutes Paraná AFC got a freekick which was hit by Dalmacio Orlan. Jimeno Cristofol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Padro having to interfere. In the 15th minute Erubiel Curcio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximiliano Padro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jimeno Cristofol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Maximiliano Padro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erubiel Curcio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Padro having to interfere. Dalmacio Orlan hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Cristofol in the 28th minute of play forced Paraná AFC's goalkeeper Maximiliano Padro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 35 minutes, Jimeno Cristofol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Linyeras de Merlo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jimeno Cristofol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gualterio Gaizko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Honorio Oliveiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Maximiliano Padro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Epifanio Ostadar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erubiel Curcio was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Honorio Oliveiro got free with Maximiliano Padro in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paraná AFC's goalkeeper Maximiliano Padro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Maximiliano Padro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Epifanio Ostadar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 57 minute of play. Gualterio Gaizko was extremely unlucky when he, in the 60th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Gualterio Gaizko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jimeno Cristofol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paraná AFC's Maximiliano Padro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimeno Cristofol in the 72nd minute of play. Maximiliano Padro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimeno Cristofol, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Jimeno Cristofol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Maximiliano Padro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gualterio Gaizko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorio Oliveiro in the 81st minute of play forced Paraná AFC's goalkeeper Maximiliano Padro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Epifanio Ostadar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jimeno Cristofol was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 83rd minute. Los Linyeras de Merlo's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After some careless play in the Paraná AFC defense, Jimeno Cristofol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximiliano Padro. The Paraná AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximiliano Padro should have stopped the shot. Jimeno Cristofol might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maximiliano Padro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jimeno Cristofol ran back to his position shaking his head. Maximiliano Padro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimeno Cristofol in the 90th minute of play. Los Linyeras de Merlo's Erubiel Curcio got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th match minute, Paraná AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeo Kinsen to maneuver through the defense. Honorio Oliveiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maximiliano Padro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Los Linyeras de Merlo's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
