Fausto Acevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nereo Pueblo having to interfere. If Fausto Acevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Xeneizes's Rogelio Caton in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fontana's goalie prevented a goal. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Xeneizes's goalkeeper Nereo Pueblo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rogelio Caton struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Niceto Orlin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xeneizes.

52 minutes into the match, Xeneizes's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Acevedo came free, but Nereo Pueblo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fausto Acevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Rogelio Caton made a precise shot to the right of Niceto Orlin. Fontana's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 62 minutes into the match, Xeneizes's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Acevedo came free, but Nereo Pueblo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucas Abel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nereo Pueblo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. If Lucas Abel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the match, Fontana's goalkeeper Niceto Orlin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rogelio Caton. After having played for 87 minutes, Fausto Acevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fontana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Acevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th match minute, Xeneizes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Ioritz to maneuver through the defense. Lucas Abel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Basilio Afonso fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Xeneizes's protests and gave Basilio Afonso a yellow card for diving instead. Basilio Afonso kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match.
