Spectators: 7063 (Terracing: 5406, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 0) Salcedo FC's Teofilo Francis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Carlos Maiorga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nereo Pueblo having to interfere. Xeneizes's Nereo Pueblo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Xeneizes from getting a goal against them. Nereo Pueblo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teofilo Francis went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Carlos Maiorga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Nereo Pueblo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anacleto Soter kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Arturo Eutor hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After 32 played minutes Salcedo FC got a freekick which was hit by Anacleto Soter. Arturo Eutor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcelino Basualdo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Victoro in the 44th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arturo Eutor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Teofilo Francis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 54th minute, Carlos Maiorga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nereo Pueblo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After having played for 57 minutes, Segundo Neron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salcedo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Segundo Neron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Segundo Neron hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Teofilo Francis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nereo Pueblo having to interfere. 72 minutes into the game, Carlos Maiorga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salcedo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Xeneizes the free kick. A collision led to Salcedo FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Carlos Maiorga hit a great ball. Arturo Eutor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelino Basualdo having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Salcedo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Eutor came free, but Marcelino Basualdo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Maiorga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nereo Pueblo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Maiorga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Arturo Eutor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xeneizes's supporters rose to their feet, but Arturo Eutor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelino Basualdo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arturo Eutor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelino Basualdo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play.
