Menem Jr. Competicion's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joaquin Beila was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After having played for 10 minutes, Joaquin Beila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mecoyta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquin Beila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jacobo Valiente kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Alonzo Leoiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmo Platon having to interfere. Sergio Beila blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erasmo Platon having to make a save. 21 minutes into the match, Menem Jr. Competicion's Alonzo Leoiar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erasmo Platon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sergio Beila took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erasmo Platon. Erasmo Platon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Leonel Lekubegi was out of position in the 27 minute of play, and Joaquin Beila capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joaquin Beila really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. In the 33rd minute, Ricardo Quilino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Sergio Beila sped through Mecoyta FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Erasmo Platon. In the 44th minute Sergio Beila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Platon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Epifanio Llope managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mecoyta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Epifanio Llope was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonel Lekubegi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sergio Beila was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Ermegildo Laurentzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Menem Jr. Competicion booed when Mecoyta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Primo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 60 minutes into the game, Menem Jr. Competicion's Alonzo Leoiar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erasmo Platon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Alonzo Leoiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sergio Beila in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erasmo Platon saved Mecoyta FC from getting behind. Sergio Beila blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erasmo Platon having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Menem Jr. Competicion's zone, Joaquin Beila stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonel Lekubegi came out of the goal and Joaquin Beila tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 73 minutes into the game, Ermegildo Laurentzi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Menem Jr. Competicion's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mecoyta FC the free kick. In the 75th minute, Epifanio Llope got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leonel Lekubegi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquin Beila, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Alonzo Leoiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmo Platon having to interfere.
