Real Santa Fe's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 14 played minutes Real Santa Fe got a freekick which was hit by Isidoro Emenon. Siro Jerano struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Nemesio Heriberto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraná AFC. Elvio Dunixi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Isidoro Emenon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maximiliano Padro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Santo Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Padro having to interfere. Santo Santana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maximiliano Padro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cipriano Sal went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 33 minutes, Isidoro Emenon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Santa Fe and the Paraná AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Real Santa Fe getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Isidoro Emenon hit a great ball. Dalmacio Orlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cipriano Sal was the one to do the kick off. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paraná AFC's goalkeeper Maximiliano Padro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Siro Jerano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nemesio Heriberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Siro Jerano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Santo Santana left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Santa Fe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When Rosendo Cordaro fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Santa Fe's protests and gave Rosendo Cordaro a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Paraná AFC booed when Real Santa Fe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rosendo Cordaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute, Elvio Dunixi made a precise shot to the right of Nemesio Heriberto. Real Santa Fe's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Nemesio Heriberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elvio Dunixi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nemesio Heriberto came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Paraná AFC's Elvio Dunixi. But to his dismay, Elvio Dunixi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The Real Santa Fe players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Paraná AFC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
