Spectators: 7063 (Terracing: 5406, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 0) Salcedo FC's Teofilo Francis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Carlos Maiorga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salcedo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Maiorga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eustaquio Mannie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 6th match minute, Polvareda F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santiago Daunte to maneuver through the defense. Eustaquio Mannie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilo Francis in the 10th minute of play. 14 minutes into the game, Polvareda F.C's Ildefonso Domenec nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelino Basualdo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Teofilo Francis came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Salcedo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teofilo Francis couldn't finish the play. Eustaquio Mannie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilo Francis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute Eriberto Amaya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelino Basualdo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Polvareda F.C's goalkeeper Eustaquio Mannie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carlos Maiorga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Eustaquio Mannie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Polvareda F.C's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Astor Estavan was slow to take the kick. During this time Salcedo FC's players had a chance to rest. An unexpected shot in the 35th minute by Carlos Maiorga got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Carlos Maiorga came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Salcedo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Maiorga couldn't finish the play. Ildefonso Domenec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Marcelino Basualdo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Anacleto Soter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Salcedo FC's Segundo Neron got a free kick in the 44th minute. Damaso Bartolome shot a long shot in the 44th minute and a light blocked Marcelino Basualdo hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 0-2. After the first half Polvareda F.C were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ildefonso Domenec to make the kick off. If Ildefonso Domenec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, Salcedo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ildefonso Domenec came free, but Marcelino Basualdo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eustaquio Mannie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Maiorga, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Salcedo FC's Teofilo Francis got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Erubiel Lop took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eustaquio Mannie. Polvareda F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Polvareda F.C's goalkeeper Eustaquio Mannie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ildefonso Domenec recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Polvareda F.C walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
