Antonio Ciano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Liberto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. With his leg Carlos Liberto managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Genesis FC's Pedro Botello fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antonio Ciano was the one to do the kick off. Antonio Ciano scored 5-1 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlos Liberto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Genesis FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. 78 minutes into the game, Genesis FC's Antonio Ciano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Liberto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. In the 82ndth minute of the game Antonio Ciano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sarmiento FC's Carlos Liberto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melchor Valente couldn't finish the play. Genesis FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
