Spectators: 7199 (Terracing: 5401, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 143) Amaná FC's Eusebio Lucero started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Moises Astigar in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Liberto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Sarmiento FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Baldomero Sotero hit a great ball. Eusebio Lucero took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Liberto. Carlos Liberto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 13 played minutes Sarmiento FC got a freekick which was hit by Luis Fagildo. Carlos Liberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebio Lucero in the 22nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lisandro Leobardo got free with Hector Estavan in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th minute Moises Astigar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Liberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Sarmiento FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Cleto Larra hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, Sarmiento FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebio Lucero came free, but Carlos Liberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amador Luke's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hector Estavan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. In the 47th minute, Moises Astigar made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Liberto. Sarmiento FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amador Luke was the one to do the kick off. Amador Luke blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hector Estavan having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Sarmiento FC's Luis Fagildo got a free kick in the 61st minute. Carlos Liberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebio Lucero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Liberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Lucero in the 69th minute of the match. Hector Estavan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amador Luke in the 72nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Eusebio Lucero kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Carlos Liberto. That made the score 2-3 in the 78 minute of play. Moises Astigar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the match, Sarmiento FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebio Lucero came free, but Carlos Liberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hector Estavan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Leobardo in the 89th minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Natalio Bazil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eustacio Illart, 95 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Julio Walme fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Amaná FC's protests and gave Julio Walme a yellow card for diving instead. The Amaná FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Amaná FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
