After 5 played minutes Chelforó got a freekick which was hit by Horacio Urtzi. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Amador Luke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sarmiento FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amador Luke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Galo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Flavio Ferrer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Carlos Liberto came out and tried to block the shot, but Flavio Ferrer slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 12th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Flavio Ferrer dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Carlos Liberto, 2-0. After having played for 21 minutes, Candido Maraman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chelforó's supporters crossed their fingers, but Candido Maraman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Liberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavio Ferrer in the 23rd minute of the match. Chelforó's Marcos Galo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amador Luke in the 27th minute of play. Joel Betadur kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Lisandro Leobardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd match minute, Chelforó was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Betadur to maneuver through the defense. Horacio Urtzi kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. A collision led to Sarmiento FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Amador Luke hit a great ball. Carlos Liberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Ferrer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sarmiento FC's Lisandro Leobardo got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Flavio Ferrer was the one to do the kick off. After 57 played minutes Sarmiento FC got a freekick which was hit by Baldomero Sotero. In the 59th minute Flavio Ferrer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Liberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Eustacio Illart fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sarmiento FC's protests and gave Eustacio Illart a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th minute, one of Sarmiento FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sarmiento FC. Tomas Beliran placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Candido Maraman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marcos Galo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amador Luke, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. When Baldomero Sotero came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Sarmiento FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baldomero Sotero couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Sarmiento FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Luis Fagildo hit a great ball. Carlos Liberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Ferrer in the 79th minute of play. Candido Maraman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baldomero Sotero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 92nd minute of the match, Amador Luke tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcos Galo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Marcos Galo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amador Luke in the 100th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Chelforó fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sarmiento FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
