In the 6th minute, Rafael Criston got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Felipe Eyague came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Durazno FC's Igor Eriz. But to his dismay, Igor Eriz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 13 minutes into the game, Cayetano Amato was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Python FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Durazno FC the free kick. In the 14th minute, Cayetano Amato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Durazno FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Federico Martinez hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eulalio Frisco in the 25th minute of play forced Durazno FC's goalkeeper Freddy Gaizko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Federico Martinez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Eyague saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, Python FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Filipo to maneuver through the defense. Felipe Eyague took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Martinez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristobal Quinteros hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Freddy Gaizko made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Rafael Criston sent off a good shot on target. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eulalio Frisco to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Rafael Criston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Gaizko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Durazno FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cayetano Amato was slow to take the kick. During this time Python FC's players had a chance to rest. Rafael Criston might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Freddy Gaizko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rafael Criston ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Python FC booed when Durazno FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Solustiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rafael Criston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Freddy Gaizko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Iker Libertad fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Python FC's protests and gave Iker Libertad a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Durazno FC booed when Python FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iker Libertad didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Durazno FC's Cristobal Quinteros broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 74th match minute, Python FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Higinio Guerau to maneuver through the defense. Igor Eriz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Felipe Eyague tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Python FC's Felipe Eyague played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Eriz in the 79th minute of play. Rafael Criston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Gaizko having to interfere. Eulalio Frisco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felipe Eyague showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Eriz, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After 97 played minutes Igor Eriz rounded Python FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. The Python FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Durazno FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Durazno FC.
