Spectators: 7225 (Terracing: 5420, Seating: 1662, VIP seats: 143) C.A.Damalu's Joel Malvin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Diego Oalo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pineapples FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Oalo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Pineapples FC booed when C.A.Damalu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saul Raphael didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Pineapples FC's Diego Oalo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Niceto Loiola narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Diego Oalo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Niceto Loiola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 22 played minutes Pineapples FC got a freekick which was hit by Apolo Piña. After a defensive mix-up in Pineapples FC's zone, Nicolas Txurio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hector Tajo came out of the goal and Nicolas Txurio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joel Malvin scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hector Tajo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marco Gitano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Casimiro Iraidos short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Niceto Loiola to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, C.A.Damalu's Niceto Loiola got control of the ball when Casimiro Iraido tried to sneak it across the goal line. Casimiro Iraido who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Niceto Loiola when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 43 minutes into the match, Joel Malvin notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Pineapples FC's Hector Tajo. Hector Tajo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ladislao Stanislao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niceto Loiola having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diego Oalo made a kick off. 56 minutes into the match, C.A.Damalu's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Oalo came free, but Niceto Loiola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Gitano's late challenge caught a Pineapples FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marco Gitano helped the player get up and apologised. After 63 minutes of play C.A.Damalu's Marco Gitano was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Diego Oalo struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Niceto Loiola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pineapples FC. Niceto Loiola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Oalo in the 69th minute of play. Diego Oalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niceto Loiola having to interfere. Pineapples FC's Diego Oalo got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the C.A.Damalu defense, Casimiro Iraido kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Niceto Loiola. The C.A.Damalu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niceto Loiola should have stopped the shot. After 79 played minutes Pineapples FC got a freekick which was hit by Diego Oalo. Niceto Loiola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casimiro Iraido, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Niceto Loiola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Oalo in the 84th minute of play. Diego Oalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niceto Loiola having to interfere. Diego Oalo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Niceto Loiola read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, C.A.Damalu's Nicolas Txurio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hector Tajo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Pineapples FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
