When Norberto Firman came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Alvear FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norberto Firman couldn't finish the play. A collision led to canarios AFC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Dionisio Raitin hit a great ball. If Ubaldo Hartz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 25 minutes, Norberto Firman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alvear FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Norberto Firman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Norberto Firman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Macario having to interfere. In the 31st minute Norberto Firman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Macario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Florentino Barros during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Alvear FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Florentino Barros hit a great ball. Roberto Macario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norberto Firman, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Ubaldo Hartz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Alvear FC's Norberto Firman in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Norberto Firman in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roberto Macario saved canarios AFC from getting behind. When Ubaldo Hartz came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Alvear FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubaldo Hartz couldn't finish the play. Alvear FC's Charles Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Celipe in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind canarios AFC's goalkeeper Roberto Macario, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the canarios AFC defense, Ubaldo Hartz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roberto Macario. The canarios AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roberto Macario should have stopped the shot. Ramiro Funes Mori's late challenge caught a canarios AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After having played for 79 minutes, Norberto Firman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tadeo Guillelmus hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Florentino Barros took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roberto Macario. canarios AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Celedonio Nevada kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Alvear FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Florentino Barros in the 91st minute. The corner ended in Alejandro Bertol almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but canarios AFC's Roberto Macario did a great save.
