Genaro Casomiro was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Oscar Diaz. Fidel Perico stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teo Guib's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Fidel Perico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teo Guib in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Silvio Mikolas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Famatina FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RIO DE LA PLATA FC the free kick. Teo Guib's late challenge caught a RIO DE LA PLATA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teo Guib helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teo Guib in the 25th minute of play forced RIO DE LA PLATA FC's goalkeeper Fidel Perico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Famatina FC's goalkeeper Genaro Casomiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Honorio Cordeal. The supporters of RIO DE LA PLATA FC booed when Famatina FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teo Guib didn't get a good kick on the ball. RIO DE LA PLATA FC's Fidel Perico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvio Mikolas in the 48th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Honorio Cordeal to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Honorio Cordeal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Genaro Casomiro was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. The supporters of Famatina FC booed when RIO DE LA PLATA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejo Pierres didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Honorio Cordeal sped through Famatina FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Genaro Casomiro. Fidel Perico was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Vladimiro Boni. 73 minutes into the match, Julio Cresconio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Genaro Casomiro. Famatina FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julio Cresconio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 76th minute Julio Cresconio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Casomiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, RIO DE LA PLATA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Silvio Mikolas came free, but Fidel Perico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 82 played minutes, RIO DE LA PLATA FC's Filiberto Gaskon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Genaro Casomiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Delmar Montez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Honorio Cordeal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Genaro Casomiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Julio Cresconio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Casomiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 94 minutes of play, RIO DE LA PLATA FC's Honorio Cordeal made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Genaro Casomiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! RIO DE LA PLATA FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
