After 7 played minutes, Club Sportivo Paternal's Joaquin Fidensio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Raimundo Ferman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Sportivo Paternal reached it. Matias Betadur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Cipriano Chaime tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eleuterio Naelio hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. When Matias Betadur came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Club Almagro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matias Betadur couldn't finish the play. If Moises Mon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eleuterio Naelio hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matias Betadur made a kick off. Raimundo Ferman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ladislao Iago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cipriano Chaime showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Betadur in the 60th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Jokin in the 61st minute of play forced Club Sportivo Paternal's goalkeeper Cipriano Chaime to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cipriano Chaime showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matias Betadur, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Ladislao Iago's late challenge caught a Club Almagro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ladislao Iago helped the player get up and apologised. After 69 played minutes Club Sportivo Paternal got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Iago. Braulio Jokin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Braulio Jokin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Chaime having to interfere. Club Sportivo Paternal's Cipriano Chaime played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Betadur in the 94th minute of play. Despite being the better team, Club Almagro failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
