Alfonso Iigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benigno Abilio in the 8th minute of the match. Lázaro Lapurdi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualterio Tallia in the 13th minute of play. If Carmelo Escobar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sebastian Polo fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosario Central's protests and gave Sebastian Polo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Rosario Central's Sebastian Polo got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute, Benigno Abilio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alfredo Veronica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Alfonso Iigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfonso Iigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Veronica in the 26th minute of play. Danilo Belarmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute, Alfredo Veronica left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atletico Wamyc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 33 minutes into the game, Club Atletico Wamyc's Benigno Abilio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfonso Iigo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Benigno Abilio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ignacio Sengrat charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ignacio Sengrat the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After the first half Club Atletico Wamyc were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gualterio Tallia to make the kick off. Alfonso Iigo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 57th minute, which inside left pole to 0-4. Benigno Abilio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfredo Veronica might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfonso Iigo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredo Veronica ran back to his position shaking his head. Martin Favila struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Alfonso Iigo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Wamyc. Benigno Abilio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfredo Veronica fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Iigo having to interfere. Martin Favila's late challenge caught a Rosario Central's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Favila helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Rosario Central booed when Club Atletico Wamyc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Favila didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benigno Abilio took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfonso Iigo. Alfonso Iigo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Alfredo Veronica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Alfonso Iigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Club Atletico Wamyc's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
