In the 40th minute, Jeronimo Leobardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CLUB DEL FERNET fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When Leonel Bihar fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Lorenzo AFC's protests and gave Leonel Bihar a yellow card for diving instead. CLUB DEL FERNET's Adan Bordat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Barea in the 85th minute of play. Blas Celino might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roman Gentza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Blas Celino ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 93rd minute, Cipriano Osmundo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, San Lorenzo AFC's Cipriano Osmundo got a free kick in the 94th minute. A long shot from Santo Jobo in the 95th minute of play was well struck, but Roman Gentza made a really good save at the right post. Jeronimo Leobardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The CLUB DEL FERNET supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing CLUB DEL FERNET would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
